What is Flexeril

Flexeril is used with rest and physiotherapy to treat skeletal muscle, such as pain and damage.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) is a sedative muscle. It works by blocking the nerve (or pain sensation) that is sent to your brain.

Cyclobenzaprine hydrochloride is a white, crystalline tricyclic amine salt with the empirical formula C20H21N•HCl and a molecular weight of 311.9. If aqueous solutions are made alkaline, the free base separates. It has a melting point of 217°C, and a pKa of 8.47 at 25°C. It is freely soluble in water and alcohol, sparingly soluble in isopropanol, and insoluble in hydrocarbon solvents. Cyclobenzaprine HCl is designated chemically as 3-(5H-dibenzo [a,d] cyclohepten-5-ylidene)-N, Ndimethyl- 1-propanamine hydrochloride

FLEXERIL 5 mg (Cyclobenzaprine HCl) is supplied as a 5 mg tablet for oral administration. Flexeril 10 mg (cyclobenzaprine HCl) is supplied as a 10 mg tablet for oral administration.

FLEXERIL tablets contain inactive ingredients: hydroxypropylcellulose, hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose, iron oxide, lactose, magnesium stearate, starch and titanium dioxide. The 5 mg FLEXERIL tablet also contains yellow D & C # 10 aluminum lake HT and yellow FD & C # 6 Aluminum Lake.

How to use Flexeril

Take this medicine with a glass of water.

Flexeril is only part of a complete treatment program that may include rest, physiotherapy or other pain relief measures. Follow your doctor's instructions.

Dosage of Flexeril

FLEXERIL tablets are available in 5 mg and 10 mg doses. 5 mm tablet of yellow and orange tablets, 5-way, and pills covered with drug tablets, FLEX has encoded more than 5 digits on one side and without coding on the other. 10 mm yellow, double-sided D-shaped tablets, film-coated tablets, coded FLEXERIL on one side and no planning on the other. The two doses are:

5 mg 100 NDC counters 50458-280-10

10 mg 100 bottles of NDC 50458-874-11

Symptoms of overdose

1-Signs of overdose may include drowsiness, rapid heartbeat, tremor or shaking, mild reaction, confusion, nausea, vomiting, hallucinations (seeing things), chest pain or seizure.

2-Although rare, deaths may occur through overdosage with FLEXERIL. The use of multiple drugs (including alcohol) in excessive intake of cyclo-blansuprin is intentional. Given that overdecular management is complex and changing, it is recommended that the doctor contact a venom control center for information on treatment. Symptoms and signs of toxicity may increase rapidly with cyclenoencephrine, so hospital monitoring is needed as soon as possible. The oral LD50 of Flexiril is 338 and 425 mg / kg, respectively, in mice and mice respectively.

Warnings of Flexeril

In short-term studies of non-muscle spasm symptoms associated with acute skeletal musculoskeletes and usually at higher doses than those recommended for skeletal muscle spasm, there are some serious reactions to the central nervous system that are associated with triple antidepressants

Cyclobenzaprine is close to the tricyclic antidepressants, including amitriptyline and imipramine.

Three-ring antidepressants have been reported to produce arrhythmia, sinus tachycardia, prolonged lead times to myocardial infarction and stroke.

This medicine may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Do not drive, use machines, or do anything that you need to be alert to as long as you can safely do it. Avoid alcoholic beverages. Talk to your doctor if you use marijuana.

Before your surgery, tell your doctor or dentist all the products you are using (including prescription drugs, over-the-counter prescriptions, and herbal products).
