What is Ulesfia?

Ulesfia (benzyl alcohol topical) is an anti-parasite medication.

Ulesfia is used to treat head lice in people between the ages of 6 months and 60 years old.

Ulesfia is for treating head lice only. It will not treat lice on other body areas.

Ulesfia may also be used for purposes not listed in ulesfia guide.

How to use Ulesfia?

Use Ulusfia exactly as recommended by your healthcare professional. Follow all the instructions on the label. Do not recommend ulesfia in larger or smaller or longer than recommended.

Do not rub elastifia This is used only for hair and scalp. If a child is treated, an adult should take the medicine.

Do not moisturize your hair or scalp before using Elosfia.

Use towels to cover your face and eyes when using Ulesfia. Keep your eyes gently throughout the program.

Apply enough lotion to cool your skin and hair, including the back of the ear and back of your neck. Your complete massage may need to use more than one Ulesfia bottle for long hair.

After applying the medicine, wash your hands with soap and water.

You can shampoo your hair every time after using Ylsefia.

After washing, use a good shoulder blade to remove eggs from the hair. Wear often during use. Place the nit in a sealed plastic bag and pour it into the trash to prevent contamination.

Yolosfia will not get rid of peppermint eggs, so you should take the second dose of ulesfia 7 days after the first use.

For the most complete treatment of head lice and preventing re-infection, you must face your environment at the same time with your skin. Wash all the clothes, hats, bedclothes, sheets, and towels in warm water and dry overheat. Clean up any non-rinse clothes. Hair brushes, shoulders and hair accessories should be soaked in warm water. 1 week after treatment, check all your family members for lice.

Dosage of Ulesfia

ULESFIA® Lotion is not for oral, eye or intraocular use.

Using the instructions in Table 1, apply ULESFIA® Lotion to fully dry hair and apply fully saturated skin and hair. Leave 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with water. After 7 days, repeat contact with eyes.


If oral ingestion occurs, seek medical advice immediately.


FDA pregnancy category B. Ulesfia is not expected to harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment.

Side effects of Ulesfia

Warnings of Ulesfia

Before using benzyl alcohol, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.

Before using ulesfia, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history.

Constant or forceful scratching of the skin/scalp may lead to a bacterial skin infection. Tell your doctor right away if you develop worsening redness or pus.

Children may be more sensitive to the side effects of the drug. If you are treating an infant, make sure to tell the doctor if your infant was born early (premature) so that the doctor can decide if your infant is old enough to use ulesfia.

During pregnancy, ulesfia should be used only when clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.

It is unknown if ulesfia passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

You should not use Ulesfia if you are allergic to benzyl alcohol.

To make sure Ulesfia is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have any conditions that make your skin sensitive.

It is not known whether benzyl alcohol passes into breast milk. However, ulesfia contains a preservative that may be harmful to a new born. Tell your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby.

Do not use ulesfia on a child or infant younger than 6 months old. Ulesfia contains an ingredient that can cause serious side effects or death in very young infants or premature babies. Do not allow an older child to use Ulesfia without supervision of an adult.
